Autumn is certainly a lovely time in Paris. But we know that many of you are still unable to visit due to Covid-19 craziness. Fortunately, more and more Parisian content is available online. If you are lucky enough to be here, some of our favorite October events in Paris are going ahead in Covid-adapted formats. And if you’re not, there are some you can participate in virtually! The situation is constantly evolving, so check the events’ website and social media channels for updates.

FOOD & WINE

Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre – October 7-11

The 87th edition of Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre will take you on a leap into the future. Over the course of five days, the rich program of this wine harvest festival in the 18th arrondissement will address themes such as green cities, science, generational interactions, and utopias. Unfortunately the food and wine market, Parcours du Goût, and the folk parade, Grand Défilé, have been cancelled.

ART & CULTURE

Nuit Blanche – October 3

This year, the Métropole du Grand Paris has co-organized Nuit Blanche for an edition spanning the entire metropolitan area of Paris. For one night only (from 7pm to 7am), celebrate contemporary creation in the city, its public spaces, and prestigious monuments and buildings – many little known or usually inaccessible to the public.

The Préfecture de Police has closely collaborated in designing the event, complying with health requirements to protect all attendees. For those not in Paris, Nuit Blanche will also be online! Wherever you are, you can watch videos or listen to podcasts with participating artists.

ASIA NOW: Paris Asian Art Fair – October 23-25

Unfortunately, this year’s Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain (FIAC) has been cancelled. But ASIA NOW: Paris Asian Art Fair is still going ahead. The 6th edition of ASIA NOW will be more intimate. It is dedicated to the connection and exchange between artists, curators, and collectors. The fair will feature solo and group shows by participating galleries, and special projects: including a series of off-site installations, artist video screenings, performances, and conversations.
